Capital letters
Big letters do two jobs: start a sentence, and start a name. Not just because a new line started. Pairs with the Capital letters lesson.
A · Fix the sentence
Rewrite each one with the capitals in the right places.
- my cat is soft.
- we saw grandma on monday.
- i like trains a lot.
B · The new-line trap
These got big letters just for starting a new line. Write them out correctly on one line.
- My friend Sam
And i played
Football.
- The dog ran
To the park.
C · Your turn
Write 2 sentences about your day. Say "new sentence — big letter!" before each one.
